About the NSE Living Wall Print
In 2021, Enid from NSE Tropicals (nsetropicals.com) reached out and asked if I'd like to collaborate on a t-shirt design. I had previously worked on a logo design for NSE and I was excited to be able to paint some aroids for one of the most well known and respected figures in the plant world. After talking to Enid and taking a bunch of photos of the plants that she is growing, we decided to focus on the rare aroids growing up the walls around her various shade houses. Instead of painting a single photo, I combined a variety of Enid's plants from lots of different photos into one large composition for this painting.
While many of my prints are composites of multiple paintings into one print, this image was painted all together on one big page. It's one of the largest single botanical watercolor paintings that I've ever done. It was a tricky composition to plan but a lot of fun painting all of those different textures and details. NSE used this design on a limited run of t-shirts that is no longer available, but I am happy to offer the painting exclusively as a 12x16" print.
